Destruction of a Nation(poem)

This is a story that must be told
this is a story that must unfold
it is of a nation treated with brutality
this is true, it's a reality
its people say this is not fair
doesn't anyone know? doesn't anyone care?

It is war they say, of which death is part
how blind they are, how hardened of heart
Here we are living in good health
we have the money, the luxury and wealth
while all those people are living in fear
please understand, the message is clear

The people are in hunger, they are in pain
they have seen their own brethren slain
enough of this killing, enough of this death
children are breathing their very last breath
It is a nation that only receives hate
the horror they feel is very great
Nothing beside remains round the decay
of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
